BACKGROUND The BOP is seeking information from pathology groups relating to Laboratory Directorship (LD) as defined by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) for oversight of six moderately/highly complex internal agency clinical laboratories. There are two BOP designated categories of laboratories: 1) Medical Referral Laboratory (MRL); 2) Medical Referral Center (MRC).

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for anticipated litigation, enforcement actions, or investigations. (30 ILCS 500/1-10(b)(7)) The University requires services for pending litigation in a McLean County Circuit Court case relating to University laboratory schools.

Services may include but are not limited to: Contract Administration, grant compliance (such as Davis Bacon requirement), construction observation, material sampling and field and laboratory tests, evaluations and reports relating to soils and materials, special inspections, threshold inspections as required by Florida State statutes and the Project’s grant requirements, or at the request specific to the Project’s contract documents.
