The contract is to provide invasive vegetation removal and eradication. Effort includes such activities as mowing, pulling, shearing, hand cutting, herbicide application or any other means necessary in the eradication of targeted invasive vegetation located in and around prairie areas.
One grant element is the removal and eradication of invasive species and vegetation in an approximately 1.2-acre area of the Northfield Town Forest. This project consists of two elements. The first element is the cutting of the invasive species and other vegetation to knee high level to allow for pesticide application and for volunteers to maintain and control future growth. This element shall be completed by 3/31/23.
