This is a synopsis and solicitation for the repair of F-18 Component, Antenna. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document.
It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded for the repair of Directional Antennas on a competitive basis as a result of this synopsis/solicitation:. Pricing should be provided on Attachment 1 – Schedule-70Z03820QB2000117. All repairs shall be performed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), L3 Aviation Products Inc. or a facility that has been approved by the USCG.

The work includes the contractor to engineering, furnishing, installing and testing (EFI&T) three (3) new high frequency (HF) triple-mode operation SPIRA-CONE® antennas at an existing ground radio transmit and receive site (GATR) facility and the installation of all new RF cabling with Manhole and Duct systems to the three (3) new antennas.
These combat aircrafts have a requirement for depot level repair of the Antenna Coupler applicable to the repair of the C-130J, EC 130J, HC 130J, MC 130J, MC 130P, WC 130J, and the MC-130H Combat Talon II aircrafts. These Antenna couplers are manufactured/repaired by Chelton/ Cobham Antenna in UK. (OEM) specifications.
