Paul District seeks a contractor to replace three existing fuel oil burning furnaces at the Mississippi River Project Office, Fountain City, Wisconsin. The contractor shall replace existing furnaces with High Efficiency Liquid Propane furnaces. Current furnaces are old and the dampers don’t work properly causing them to run very inefficiently.
The existing steam boilers will remain.3. Bid Item 002: Replace 2 existing fuel oil pumps and piping to new boiler and 2 existing boilers.4. Install new panel CH-1 with capacity to serve the needs of phase I-IV, Options 1-3 in the Lodge and all necessary circuits, wiring, devices and controls for Phase I operational needs.5. Bid Item 003: Install new main hot water piping in the boiler room.
Work for this project consists of providing labor and materials to remove existing oil furnace and fuel tank and replace with an electric forced air heat pump for Residence #1001, #1002, and #1003; Residence #1002 shall be considered for an optional item. The 3-ton capacity heat pump shall have a minimum SEER rating of 15, HSPF 8.5, and EER of 12.5. Units shall have a minimum 10 year warranty.
The Contractor must modify the existing fuel lines as needed and replace the primary burner oil nozzle and secondary burner oil nozzle in accordance with the Coast Guard TP 7170.NOTE The currently installed Primary and Secondary Nozzles will be changed over to a new configuration in order to match the rest of the fleet. Installation of new oil nozzles requires relocation of fuel lines.
