The project titled “River Road Widening Tree Removal for Utility Relocations” includes tree removal and restoration on River Road from Beargrass Creek to Zorn Ave. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts.

Approximately 400 tons of asphalt paving, 1,700 linear feet curb and gutter, 1,175 linear feet 18-inch storm pipe, 290 linear feet 24-inch storm pipe, 405 linear feet 36‐inch storm pipe, grading, demolition, road widening, utility relocation, and all appurtenances associated with project construction. Time allotted for construction is 180 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 210 days for final completion.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: Approximately 387 tons of asphalt paving, 1,649 linear feet curb and gutter, 1,475 square yards concrete sidewalk, 792 linear feet 18-inch storm pipe, 672 linear feet 24-inch storm pipe, 78 linear feet 36 inch storm pipe, grading, demolition, road widening, utility relocation, and all appurtenances associated with project construction.

This work is intended to be constructed under a separate utility construction contract than the planned FDOT US-41 Road Widening project (by Others), although work sequence for these various NPU utility relocations will be coordinated with planned FDOT construction phases associated with the road widening project. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals for this pipeline relocation project.
