This is a pay-as-cut timber sale with a firm-fixed unit price.This is a pay-as-cut timber sale designed to expedite the harvest of timber for construction projects and/or silvicultural work with a short completion time and/or logistical difficulties due to location or training conflicts. Projects containing over 1000 tons of merchantable timber, offered to Purchaser, must be harvested.

No trees or shrubs shall be cleared outside of the cut line without prior written approval from the Engineer. No vegetation outside of the limits of disturbance shall be impacted. Trees with diameter over 10 inches within the cut line shall be pushed down rather than cut in order to keep the root mass intact with the trunk.

If the District has not diverted that commodity or when that allocation has run out will pay the full commercial price. It is the responsibility of each district to notify the State of Massachusetts of their intention to divert each commodity, and to assign the winning distributor in either K12 Foodservice or Processor link.
