Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West has an active airfield consisting of six (6) runways and associated taxi and aircraft parking apron facilities on Boca Chica Key. This Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements contract will require the removal of air craft tire rubber and paint from various airfield locations, and the painting of existing/new markings that are compliant with most current version of FAA and Naval regulations.
To enable the safe completion of these work items, while the airport’s Runway 12-30 remains open to air traffic, access to the active Runway 12-30 will be maintained throughout construction with the successful bidder’s deployment and rearrangement of low-level aircraft barricades to provide aircraft routes along portions of Taxiways A and B that avoid active work zones.
The ability of the contractor to provide one or multiple Part 25 (or size-equivalent) test aircraft with turbofan engines, a digital, full-modulating anti-skid system, and the ability to record the set of parameters required to fulfill the experiment objectives as described in the attached draft Test Plan. 2.
