Custom Software Safety Training with Functional Hazard Analysis
This is a notice of intent to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii) to A-P-T Research, Inc. 4950 Research Drive NW Huntsville, Alabama 35805 to upgrade the software for Institute of Makers of Explosives Safety Analysis for Risk (IMESAFR). A-P-T Research, Inc. has no resellers or distributors and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The modification will add a new Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) for Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) / Health Hazard Analysis (HHA) / Software Hazard Analysis (SwHA) for Harpoon Coastal Defense System (HCDS).
BSC has extensive unique and specialized corporate experience in the IV&V and Software Safety Analysis of the Harpoon launch control system software as well as deployed Harpoon Training systems. BSC is the only responsible source that can meet the Government's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
The principle purpose of this contract is to acquire systems and software assurance services, including IV&V and safety and mission assurance analysis on selected systems and software being developed by or for NASA and other Federal, State and local government agencies and other entities.
