The Salt Lake City Arts Council is pleased to announce an opportunity for Utah artists or artist-led teams to submit up to two designs for the Life on State public art opportunity. The public art project will feature eight artist designs adapted into a 4-foot in diameter neon artwork, positioned 10 feet in the air atop a steel support pipe.
Salt Lake City Arts Council Public Art Program – re-envisioned 9th South Roundabout Call for Artists to commission artwork in the new roundabout near 9th and 9th that responds to the dynamism and sense of transformation in the area. Originally released in December 2019, this public art opportunity has been retooled to consider blending permanent sculptural artwork with a rotating program of temporary murals.
Later this year, the Salt Lake City Public Art Program will welcome Out of the Blue, a sculptural artwork by acclaimed Utah artist Stephen Kesler which was as recommended by Salt Lake City’s Art Design Board for commission and approved by Mayor Erin Mendenhall.
⊗ The Salt Lake City Public Art Program is seeking poems or poetic lines in English or Spanish from Salt Lake City-based artists and writers for its Sidewalk Poetry: Senses of Salt Lake City public art project. Budget: $250 – Deadline: February 21, 2024
The Salt Lake City Public Art Program seeks artist qualifications for a public artwork as part of the 400 South Viaduct project. This project will improve the connectivity for those walking or using active transportation and mobility devices across the 400 South Viaduct, an important corridor linking Salt Lake City’s East and West sides.
