The Waco Independent School District is issuing this solicitation to select 2-3 vendor options that can provide excellent After-School childcare and quality after-school enrichment courses to Waco Independent School District’s (Waco ISD) fifteen (15) elementary schools.

Notice Summary This Informal Request for Qualifications is to find local childcare providers for before and after school enrichment, as well offering childcare during normal school hours during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Partnerships that provide additional services for students outside of the school day can provide the assistance with childcare that families need in addition to meeting the extension and enrichment needs of the communities.Although not required, we are looking for programs that, in addition to services for students, offer families of students’ opportunities for family engagement, family literacy and parent education programs.

It is expected that the Program will be available to families Monday through Friday throughout the school year and one week prior to the beginning of the school year, including days when school is not in session (e.g., Veteran’s Day, Pulaski Day) and during any District-designated early release days. The Program at all Schools must be entirely self-supporting.

Programs should offer enrichment or extension opportunities preferably in consultation with the school to meet student needs based on data. These programs should offer affordable and reliable services before and/or after school, on weekends or in the evening.
