SEE ATTACHEMENTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:The purpose of this acquisition is to provide scion and cone collection services for the 2024-2025 season. The base requirement is to collect Ponderosa Pine scion, install Sugar pine Conelet bags, and collect Sugar pinecones. Scion collection to occur at predetermined locations on the Medford District and the Sugar Pine bagging and collection at the Sprague Seed Orchard, Merlin OR.
Collection times for vegetation materials varies as follows:• Scion Collection - late February• Pollen Collection - between March 15th and July 31st• Cone Caging - mid June• Cone Collection - to be determined by GovernementThere will be some specialized hourly services which include: Cone Collection within Tree Improvement Areas (TIAs); Tree Topping within TIAs; and Pollen Collection within TIAs.
The work includes but is not limited to scion, pollen, and cone collection, some cone caging, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project task orders in accordance with the plans and specifications for various species such as White Bark Pine, White Pine, Western Larch, Ponderosa Pine, and Engelmann Spruce.

Dates of operation will be specified in the BPA call, and will ensure that the Government can deliver the scion to the Coeur d'Alene Nursery by close of business to be determined (based on a Fall or Winter collection).Pollen CollectionPollen shall be collected during late spring and early summer. Successful collection shall require good communication and rapid response from the Contractor.
