Project # SFAPT00236 The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Alaska Division of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is proposing maintenance improvements to the Hoonah Seaplane Facility which is experiencing sedimentation behind the seaplane float. The project involves dredging and channel lining that would result in encroachments into the floodplain (Floodmap 0200490027C).

The project includes removal and replacement of the existing seaplane float with a 60'x80' timber/steel float, replacing the existing gangway with a contractor designed and furnished vehicle gangway, and rehabilitation of the existing timber approach trestle.
