The City desires to award an emergency contract for a contractor to furnish and deliver low-carbon corrosion-resistant chromium steel rebar to the City’s Public Works Yard, 3130 Cooper Street, Punta Gorda, FL for the construction of seawall slabs, as required. These slabs will be used for replacement of seawalls damaged in Hurricane Irma and future potential FEMA eligible events.
The base bid is #1, the seawall repair. Please include #2, corner repair as an alternate and #3, the repair posts as an alternate. Specifications/Scope of Work 1. Seawall Repair by dock 168: Remove two existing concrete seawall panels. Excavate material and dispose. Drive 6” H beam into lake bottom until solid. Install 5’ x 8’ x 5” steel reinforced concrete panels in between flanges of H beams. Price to use new seawall panels.
