NSWCPD has a requirement that will provide for the furnishing of services in support of research and development of technology for sensor data fusion, model and algorithm development, and integration of digital twins and advanced modeling of HM&E systems for NSWCPD.
Sensors Directorate conducts basic and applied research, advanced technology development, as well as test and evaluation to meet U.S.
NSWC Crane is interested in security sensor technology and joint Research and Development (R&D) in modern electronics for security sensors in protection of Nuclear Weapons Facilities. Some of the following sensor categories are listed below:1. BMS2. Motion Detection - Single Unit3. Motion Detection - Multi Unit4. Trip-Beam5. Cameras6. Barrier Associated7. Radar8. Sonar9. Vibration10. Impact11. Acoustic12. Switch13.
The sensors being the same brand, make and model is exceptionally critical for ensuring the sensitive/consistent data for validation, limiting the anomalies/data noise, pattern of error considerations, and pattern of comparisons for overall validation and success of the research data collected. The desired sensor technology and cabling must be the same to ensure accurate testing within the research parameters being conducted.
The studies will be conducted at the Urban Watershed Research Facility (UWRF) and at locations outside the Edison Environmental Center (EEC). The focus of AWI research is testing sensor technologies, controlled condition cyber security research, pipe decontamination, and other water security test bed experiments.
Task ordersmay include the following representational examples of work to be performed under specific task orders(1) Science and technology evaluation and assessment.(2) Application of sensor technology to new system concepts and operational needs.(3) Technology transfer.(4) System architectures.(5) System performance and cost.(6) Development engineering.(7) Systems engineering.(8) Rapid prototyping (hardware and software).(9) Systems integration.
