USS Detroit LCS-7 four Ship Service Diesel Generators were inspected, resulting in the finding that the resilient mounts were out of tolerance causing a misalignment between the engine motor and the ship’s generator. The materials required are not available in the Navy Stock System and are long lead-time material, requiring 240 days after receipt of order to procure.
Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410B Procurement intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Fairbanks Morse, LLC to provide replacement parts for the Ship’s Service Diesel Generators.The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR part 13.
