The park is located in Sevier County, Utah in the Clear Creek Canyon. The park was established to preserve archaeological discoveries at the site, telling the stories of a large Fremont Indian settlement. The park protects, preserves and interprets moveable heritage objects, stored within its collection and museum as well as outdoor immovable heritage including rock art pictographs.
