Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Project Manager-Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS), issues the subject solicitation for the manufacturing, testing and delivery of the M72 Light Assault Weapon (LAW) variants and components for Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLM) training systems.
This posting satisfied the requirement to post the Redacted Justification and Approval associated with Contract Award W15QNK-22-D-0002 made as a result of Solicitation W15QKN-20-R-0022.
The XM919 IAM tactical munition is a disposable, lightweight, single shot, multi-target, and Fire from Enclosure (FFE) capable Shoulder Launched Munition (SLM). The XM919 IAM system consists of the XM919 IAM tactical munition and training devices to include the XM922 Sub-Caliber Trainer, associated Sub-Caliber Tracer Cartridge, Field Handling Trainer (FHT), and spare parts.
In addition, DEVCOM-AC has designed and successfully demonstrated a Shoulder Launched Light Assault Munition (SLLAM) to a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6. Additional design and integration activities are required to weaponize the system and validate fuze reliability.
