In preparation for an upcoming procurement, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division, Norfolk, VA on behalf of the Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (OMAO), is conducting market research to determine potential sources for a side scan sonar winch for the NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson.
To document and monitor known sanctuary resources, and to systematically locate currently undiscovered resources, the sanctuary has purchased a side scan sonar system. A shipboard multi-purpose winch is required to utilize this system. The multipurpose winch will be used with a side scan sonar system by WSCNMS and other Great Lakes national marine sanctuaries.
To meet program requirements the side scan sonar systems, winches, and all supporting equipment shall be delivered to USM within 90 days after contract award. 13. The delivery arrangements and transportation costs shall be the vendor’s responsibility. 14. The side can sonar systems, towbody, and winch shall be delivered to USM’s Marine Research Center, 1030 30th Ave Gulfport, MS 39501. IV.
