(For context: The current software development and application team is comprised of software engineers, whom execute a myriad of software sustainment and implementation tasks, including; 1) building and maintaining internal servers for software testing and development; 2) providing technical expertise and support to the Govt. regarding software deployment; 3) maintaining a Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist and fortifying software
Government Inspection and Test will include dimensional verification, Interchangeability Test, LRU testing, and some software testing for LRUs containing software. The Government reserves the right not to award production orders until all LRUs are qualified.The Contractor must obtain a delivery order from the Government Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) before commencement of production.

The software development and testing is to verify the AN/APX-123/123A v7.3x remains compatible with TCAS equipment and remains compliant with AIMS 03-1000B Amendment 1. This effort is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements".
This component is a subassembly of a system that is used to provide flight line loading and diagnostic testing of F-16 aircraft Avionics System software as well as flight line diagnostic testing of F-16 Avionics Systems.This will be a 5-year Requirements type contract broken out with one 3-year basic ordering period and two 1-year option years (for a total ordering period of five years).
