For these reasons, the MPCA has deemed Connexus Energy to be the only entity with which the MPCA can enter into the option to lease, for the future purpose of the solar energy generating system pilot project.
To that end, the City is interested in deploying City-owned ground-mounted solar systems on city-owned property in a size sufficient to match the City’s energy consumption at municipal facilities. These solar projects will be located inside the City on parcels identified by the communities, and the land rights and zoning necessary for solar development will be secured by the City.
