This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) – Soliciting from a single source.

Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for the renewal of COMSOL Multiphysics Software for Naval Postgraduate School (NPS).

This is considered a sole source to DNV GL USA because, to the best of the NETL’s knowledge, based on market research conducted DNV GL USA is the only known source that can provide this type of service. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy NETL's requirement.This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal.
