Kennedy Space Center’s (KSC) Launch Service Program (LSP) invites you to to review and comment on the Space Processing Operations Contract (SPOC) draft solicitation. LSP is responsible for NASA’s acquisition and program management of commercial launch vehicles for NASA’s science and robotic missions. LSP also provides processing facilities and support for these spacecraft, satellites, or payloads.

The Contractor may undertake a wide range of activities to include spacecraft research, analysis, prototype development, integration, test, operation, demonstration, data processing and documentation to include associated logistical, administrative, management and support activities.
Work performed under the COMET contract will include engineering; ground system development; flight vehicle/spacecraft processing; and launch, landing, and recovery operations in support of the following exploration systems development programs: exploration ground systems, Space Launch System, and Orion spacecraft.
This effort includes concept development through operational demonstration, and the transition of these systems and subsystems, as well as the support required for integration and operation of these electronics as part of the overall mission.The Contractor may undertake a wide range of activities to include spacecraft research, analysis, prototype development, integration, test, operation, demonstration, data processing and documentation to include
COMET services include operation, maintenance and processing of complex launch-related ground systems that require skilled engineering and integrated management. COMET will provide engineering; ground system development; flight vehicle/spacecraft processing; and launch, landing, and recovery operations for the following Exploration Systems Division (ESD) programs: Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System, and Orion Programs.
