The United States Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive firm fixed price award to SPOT LLC, located in Covington, LA to obtain satellite communication services for existing agency-owned devices and to activate additional satellite communication devices as needed from SPOT, LLC.
Geological Survey, California Water Science Center, operates and maintains over 500 USGS gaging stations through out California and often USGS staff work in remote locations where there is no cellular signal thus USGS seeks a company capable for providing SPOT devices that use satellite communication links to insure that signals go through to others that can assist in times of troubles described in the solicitation¿s Statement of Work.
