The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract procured in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding, under an Invitation for Bid Process.The overall goal of the project is to protect and stabilize the tidal freshwater marsh and other associated wetland habitats that have been lost or impacted in the Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve on the Potomac River in Virginia.
Repair, replace, protect and stabilize highway and bridge approach embankments along river or streams in Northern Region locations that have been damaged or are at risk from erosion as a consequence of channel migrations from natural changes in river morphology. The USDA NRCS is preparing to issue a solicitation for work to restore and stabilize approximately 54 feet of stream bank on 1 site on Wades Creek in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
