The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract procured in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding, under an Invitation for Bid Process.The overall goal of the project is to protect and stabilize the tidal freshwater marsh and other associated wetland habitats that have been lost or impacted in the Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve on the Potomac River in Virginia.
A stabilization design of installing additional longer and reticulated rockbolts to stabilize the main arch, shorter rockbolts to stabilize individual arch rock blocks, selective vegetation removal and rock scaling of the cliff, treatment of the crack between the arch and alcove cliff, and instrumentation to monitor the installed stabilization has beencompleted by a geotechnical and structural engineering consultant for the NPS.

The USDA NRCS is preparing to issue a solicitation for work to restore and stabilize approximately 54 feet of stream bank on 1 site on Wades Creek in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. This is a repair to a site previously restored due to June 2016 flooding event. Wire Mesh Gabions will be installed to stabilize and protect the stream bank.
