NIST requires is a compact, high performance cavity-stabilized laser system that shall be operated from a mobile laboratory (i.e. van) with minimal environmental control and must be deployed in the field by August 2020. The performance of the cavity-stabilized laser system shall be equivalent to state-of-the-art cavity-stabilized lasers found in future mobile optical atomic clocks.
