The new work will repurpose the vacated Satellite Pharmacy into a new LBMT (Leukemia Bone Marrow Transplant) Clinical Trial Unit with two new beds, two treatment chairs, a staff workstation and one shared barrier-free washroom. There are two blocked perimeter windows on the north exterior wall and the west wall. We will restore these to provide natural light into the LBMT Clinical Trial Unit.
This procurement is intended to be used in the Madison VAMC in order to allow staff mobile workstations within the hospital. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) has only one (1) authorized distributor for the Howard Brand. Furthermore, furthermore this cart is used throughout the hospital and continuity allows quick repairs/substitution if a cart fails. The proposed action is IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) Single Source Awards.
Expansion of office space will include up to ten (10) modular staff workstations, two private offices, conference room with kitchenette and a secure drug storage room.
