The training location site is the United States Courthouse for the Eastern District of Louisiana located at 500 Poydras Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.Contractor shall provide 4 nights lodging fifty (50 rooms) for the United States Marshals Service for the period of June 14-17, 2021. This is a competitive quotation for lodging located only in the downtown area of New Orleans.
The building will provide space for the United States District and Magistrate Courts, United States Marshals Service, United States Attorney’s Office, United States Probation Office, United States Public Defender’s Office, and GSA’s Public Buildings Service. The Estimated Construction Cost range is approximately $52 to $62 million.
GSA is responsible for operations and maintenance of the building.BuildingThe United States Courthouse in Seattle was designed in 1998, with construction completed by August 2004. It consists of a reinforced concrete foundation on drilled shaft piers with steel framing.
Marshals Service, U.S. Probation Office, and a GSA-PBS Field Office. GSA will design and construct the courthouse in accordance with the PBS Facilities Standards (GSA P100), U.S. Courts Design Guide, U.S Marshals Service Publication 64 and all other applicable Federal standards/requirements.
The design of the new courthouse will be Neoclassical in style in general (and organized using the classic Ionic Order), in keeping with other recent Federal courthouses in the State of Alabama. The design will respond to the unique demands of a 21st-century federal courthouse while integrating classical organizational, proportional, and design elements.
