Project Title: AAFES UST1) The project is for replacing underground storage tanks and related components at an Defense Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) gas station at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) in Washington, DC. It includes replacing six under dispenser containment sumps, four 12,000-gallon underground fiberglass reinforced plastic gasoline storage tanks, associated piping, fittings, monitoring systems, and accessories.

The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of two (2) fuel oil underground storage tanks (USTs), as follows: One 550-gallon UST located at the Harvey Place Pump Station (11 N Quinsigamond Avenue); one 550-gallon UST located at the Jordan Pond Pump Station (34 Ridgeland Road). Conditions arising from the tanks are not anticipated to have impacted soil or groundwater surrounding the USTs.
