SummaryThe City of Santa Monica’s Department of Transportation, Big Blue Bus (BBB) Division, is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to conduct a Bus Stop Amenities Study. The Study will take an inventory of all existing BBB bus stops and assess them for compliance with the agency’s own standards for bus stop amenities and other requirements.

Some bus stops in the RPT system are located on private property, these stops shall be excluded from any improvement recommendations. Stops that require more detailed improvements; such stops that are placed on an incline or require drainage infrastructure should be detailed in the final construction plan. Bus stop sign posts will need to be included in bus stop plans. Actual bus stop signs will be installed by the City.
