Description: The City of Orinda is implementing a storm drain repair plan which has prioritized repairs based on field inspections of large diameter pipes under public roads. The pipes in need of repair are generally CMP’s in deteriorated condition. The Group 2 Stormdrain Lining Project consists of two Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) projects as described below:The Projects are funded and administered by the City. The current funding is local.

The work consists of, but is not limited to, installing cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) to rehabilitate existing CMP pipes and spot repairs on the storm drain system. Also included are associated earthwork, traffic control, restoration of pavement and grounds, and CCTV of storm drainpipes.

Description: General work description: The work to be done generally consists of excavating soil to create keyway/bench as shown on plans to allow placement of rock riprap fill buttress on the downslope embankment near 210 Canon Dr. to repair erosion damage from a blocked stormdrain pipe. Install temporary debris fence with steel posts prior to starting machine work.

The Engineering Department is accepting bids for the 2024 Stormwater Repair Project. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th at 10:00 am at 1500 Beatty Street, Greenville, NC for interested contractors, subcontractors, and materials suppliers.
