Participants will learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive.

To train the ASIST two-day/16-hour Suicide Intervention course, trainers must be certified by completing LivingWorks 5-day Train the Trainers course and utilize ASIST training material. ASIST is the Gold Standard of Suicide Intervention and is integral to the MCAS Iwakuni Suicide Intervention program.
