The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking potential vendors for a requirement to continue on-going sustainment support for the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) and NOAA-20 satellites, both of which serve as a NOAA Operational asset.
The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Satellite and Information Acquisition Division (SIAD) intends to award a sole source contract to Ball Aerospace and Technology Corporation (BATC).
This includes the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) mission, NOAA-20, NOAA-21 and the JPSS-3/4 missions, as well other leveraged missions and partnerships. The JPSS Ground System is responsible for implementing JPSS Program command, control, and communications and data processing requirements for JPSS CGS-serviced missions.
The vendor must have access to data provided from the Suomi National Polar-Orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) spacecraft in able to provide the following outputs: data provided in tabular csv and kmz format, daily files produced based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and access to password protected directories containing the nightly VIIRS Boat Detection data.
This Request for Quote (RFQ) for procuring a one (1) month of engineering services to the Office of Satellite Products and Operations (OSPO) for the Suomi National Polar orbiting Partnership (SNPP) and NOAA-20 satellites beyond their planned five (5) year mission life.
