The Contractor will be required to provide occasional on-call coverage during Federal holidays, weekdays, weeknights and weekends and must be able to report to the Medical Center within 60 minutes of call-in for emergent surgical consults and/or procedures. Contractor s providers must be located in the Albany, NY area.
"Sonny" Montgomery VA Medical Center Pathology Department is in need of surgical pathology consults and specialized testing in support of its ever-expanding patient care mission. A qualified and capable contractor is needed who can provide these highly specialized services to the facility.
Per VA Directive 1663 & 38 USC 8153, this is being sole sourced to an Affiliated Hospital. No Sole Source Justification is needed, per this directive.
The National Institutes of Health intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Howard University.The National Eye Institute intends to procure Service Renewal for Glaucoma Consult/Surgical Services with NEI patients for One base year plus Three option periods. The contractor will perform consultative services as a glaucoma specialist.
