This effort requires software product update, qualification test, and integration into the air vehicle, airworthiness substantiation, flight test demonstration and Validation/Verification for the Fleet Software Release that includes VPRs for MV/CMV/CV-22.
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-17-G-0002 for a 12-month base period, with a 12-month option period, to Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office on a sole-source basis for Flight Test and Evaluation Sustainment Support for the CV-22 aircraft.
Air Force established a requirement for the solicitation under product code 1410 Guided Missiles, and award of a new production and sustainment contract for the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Flight Test, Telemetry, and Termination (FT3) Flight Test Kits (replenishment spares), and associated ground systems and test sets used to support the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) MMIII Force Development Evaluation (FDE) Operational Test
The Government intends to establish a new contract for the production of FT3 flight test kits (replenishment spares), and sustainment of the Launch Support System (LSS) and test sets used to support the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) MMIII Force Development Evaluation (FDE) Operational Test Launch (OTL) Program.
This requirement provides weapon system management, logistics support, maintenance, overhauls, failure analysis, repair and modification of systems, subsystems and components of the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) Test Instrumentation Kit (CATIK), telemetry payload test set and portable flight line tester. It maintains a database of failed components, type of failure and maintenance history.
It was determined through a competitive source selection that bespoke development of a purpose-built, single-engine, high-performance jet aircraft, matching ground based training system, support equipment, required courseware, and other necessary systems best supported the needs of the Air Force, and would equip Air Education and Training Command with the ability to train pilots well into the 21st century.
