Benet Laboratories is an Army RDT&E facility that is tasked to maintain the Army’s expertise in the technology, design, development, engineering and production and field support for large caliber armament systems (consisting of cannons, mortars, recoilless rifles, tank gun mounts, recoil mechanisms, munitions handling systems and tank turret components).
Training in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fault isolating of the Tank turret, hull and fire control systems utilizing the Self-Test (ST), Built‐In‐Test (BIT) and Fault‐Isolation‐Test (FIT), M1A2T Embedded Diagnostics (ED), and DSESTS are required. g. The M1A2T D/T and Maintenance Trainer hardware and software will support the Tank’s Theory of Operation, Normal Operations, General Maintenance, Troubleshooting and DSESTS Tasks.
The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.REQUIREMENT: The USMC proposed to award a new contract for the installation of turret armor on USMC M1A1 tanks over a five year period. A quantity of up to 60 turrets per year are contemplated through use of priced options.
THIS SOLICITATION WILL RESULT IN AN INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT (IQC) FOR A BASE PERIOD OF 5 YEARS WITH ZERO (0) OPTIONS. THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL QUANITTY IS 45 EACH; THE MINIMUM DELIVERY ORDER QUANTITY IS 11; THE MAXIMUM DELIVERY ORDER QUANTITY IS 45. THE DELIVERY DATE WILL BE 382 DAYS TOTAL: DELIVERY OF THE FIRST ARTICLE TEST REPORT WILL BE 262 DAYS ARO.
