It also includes replacement of the existing control and generator building with a new preengineered and fabricated electrical building and all new electrical, pump controls, instrumentation, generator, and new VFDs. Fort Fairfield LPOE was built in the 1930’s and consists of a single Main Port Building. The Main Building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2014. The Main Port Building is a Colonial Revival brick building, with flanking garage sections (for performing vehicle inspections), and a projecting two-lane porte-cochere. The building is 1-1/2 stories in height, five bays wide, and topped by a gable roof.
This RFP is focused on addressing four (4) key areas: (a) Corridor Redevelopment; (b) Mall Redevelopment; (c) Allowing four (4) dwelling units per residential lot; and (d) Enabling four-storey buildings within 800 metres of high-frequency transit corridors, with a minimum of four (4) dwelling units.
The Fireside Maintenance Camp (i.e., the Site) is located approximately 380 km northwest of Fort Nelson, BC, and 150 km southwest of Watson Lake, YT. The Site currently operates as an active Highway Maintenance Yard consisting of a large, mostly level, graveled area with multiple buildings to support maintenance activities and some residences.
The County has targeted five (5) potential sites that may require new signs. The quantity procured may increase or decrease at the County’s discretion based on proponent pricing and budget approval. The County has prepared concepts of the signage and requires detailed design, right-of-way approvals, supply and construction, and removal and installation of new gateway signs at pre-designated locations within the County.
