The project generally includes night work involving the replacement of existing taxiway edge lights on existing light base cans, replacement of airfield guidance signs including conduit and sign foundations, lighting vault equipment replacement, and removal and replacement of electrical cable in the existing can and conduit system.
The spacing of all the runway edge lights currently does not meet FAA requirements and will be addressed as a part of this project. The condition of the airfield signs also supports replacement. The existing runway edge lighting is installed in a base can and conduit system, in which the light bases are not directly connected to each other in a linear line of conduit.
