The objective of this contract is to conduct thickness and tightness testing on the Chemical Transfer Facility (CTF) storage tanks and piping, conduct formal external inspections of the tanks, a formal visual inspection and hydrostatic testing of the piping system at the Munitions Assessment And Processing System (MAPS), and received the resulting reports.
The concrete mix uses a Class 3 Concrete (Type V cement) that has been tested and approved for use of the SDU applicationThe tanks overall dimensions are 375-ft diameter by 43- ft in heightFoundation thickness is 24-inches25 tapered walls 43-ft in height. Wall thickness is 24-inches at the bottom and 12-inches at the topRoof is sloped (1.5%) and thickness is 12-inches.
