Description Annual Supply of 150# and 1 Ton Cylinders of Liquid Chlorine to be purchased as needed. This will be a five year original Value Blanket Order with pricing being reviewed quarterly.
This project pertains to supplying and delivering liquid and gaseous chlorine in 150 lbs. and 1-ton cylinders. Houston Public Works uses liquid and gaseous chlorine as a disinfectant and oxidant to inactivate waterborne microorganisms, bacteria, and viruses. Drinking Water Operations and Wastewater Operations use this product during water treatment.
One-ton cylinders of liquid chlorine will be delivered to each of four wastewater treatment plants.
