This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The purpose of this combine synopsis/solicitation is for Tower Climber and Rescue Training for 20 ESD Technician Students.
This antenna has 4 supporting towers, each of which is 120 feet tall. Each supporting tower has a safety climb system. See attached SOW’s for details.
The leak testing procedure requires a tower climber to cap the tubing line on the tower and wait approximately 15-30 minutes while a vacuum is pulled and pressure is monitored on the line by NOAA staff at the base of the tower.The work will be scheduled in advance with the GML Technical Contact, and GML personnel will be on-site at all times to consult and oversee these activities
The contractor must provide proof that they are a Redline Qualified Radio installer as well as a certified tower climber. The government is providing the new radios and equipment. All tower climbers shall be fully trained on coax and elliptical waveguide connector installation, lightning protection and grounding installation, and quality waterproofing procedures. 3.3. Tower climbers will be knowledgeable and experienced in proper antenna, standoff, and tower structure mounting standards and installation procedures. 3.4.
The contractor shall provide the services to install two antennas and 7/8 inch heliax cable as well as sweep testing lines upon completion at the Floridale tower site in Navarre, Florida. Contractor must have licensed tower climbers. Delivery must be made within 90 days or less after Receipt of Order (ARO).
