SCOPE OF WORK: The project includes design and construction period services for replacing Cooling Towers #1 and #2 on the roof of the chilled water plant (Bldg #54). The existing cooling towers date to 1988 (estimated) and are developing leaks in the basin. The structural steel supporting the cooling towers also needs to be replaced.
Please see attached SF 330 Request for the AE Install Boiler & Upgrade Cooling Tower project at the Marion Campus of the Northern IN VA Healthcare System. Interested AE Firms are encouraged to submit SF 330s for consideration.**NOTE** NAICS has been revised from 541310 to 541330.

Three of the four cooling tower cells for the West Towers were installed in 2000, while the fourth was installed in 2002. The four cooling tower cells for the East cooling tower were installed in 2007.
The design team services shall include specification and participation in mock-ups and architectural historian review at each design phase for the tower and wood trim restoration. 2.2.12. Programming Phase: Not Applicable 2.2.13. Schematic Design Phase: Included (per contract) 2.2.13.1.
Additionally, FAR 52.236-22 Design Within Funding Limitations, will be applicable to this procurement action. Design limitation costs will be provided to the most highly qualified AE firm selected to complete the design. The magnitude of construction (not design) of this project is between $20,000,000.00 and $50,000,000.00. 1. SELECTION CRITERIA: The selection criteria for this acquisition are listed below.
The AE design team shall: Perform site investigations necessary to design a secondary water treatment system(s) for enhanced control of the Chlorine and biocide levels throughout the main hospital, water storage tanks and cooling towers (all HW and CW systems).
