NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nevada (RTC) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to to create, calibrate, and validate a state-of-the-art travel demand model for the RTC planning area and a section of Storey County, including the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRI Center) and the City of Fernley.
Static model validation focuses on known conditions, but the important role of models is in forecasting travel behavior and travel demand for future scenarios. For this reason, sensitivity testing (dynamic model validation) is an important component of model development.
