The goal of the project is to gather a statistically meaningful neighbourhood representative sample of Saskatoon residents and their transportation travel choices. 2.

BACKGROUND Over decades, SCAG administered major household travel surveys to obtain detailed information regarding household socio-economic characteristics and travel behaviors of household members in the SCAG region. Travel demand modeling and RTP/SCS planning analysis depend on periodic updates of household travel surveys.

DOT have devoted significant investment in deciphering passenger travel behavior through both the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS) and other data gathering activities. The NHTS provides a host of traveler behavior information including the fundamental information on why, how, and when people travel.The scope of this project will be multimodal covering all travel distances as related to passenger travel.
