Skid unit must be “turn key,” ready to use when delivered. Must at minimum meet NWCG Type 7 engine requirements and fit in a normal sized pickup truck bed (50”) and slim utility beds (49”). By means of this IFB, it is the intention of the TFS to acquire bids for the development of an agency wide standard skid unit for truck use. Skid unit must be “turn key,” ready to use when delivered.

A need is anticipated for the procurement two (2) 200 Gallon Truck Mounted Fire Suppression Skid Units, Brand Name or Equal to include installation on a government vehicle. Please see attached Salient Characteristics for specification and terms.

The skid base must be 48" W X 96" L with lifting points and be securable to the bed of a truck or trailer. The pump must be capable of discharging 80 GPM at 10 PSI with a maximum discharge pressure of 150 PSI. The pump must be capable of spraying both class A and B fire fighting foams. The Fire Skid unit must have a low profile hose reel with a 100 foot hose. The water tank must be 200 gallons and fully baffled.
