The Umatilla National Forest is seeking to contract for an appraisal of property for which a timber cruise is a necessary component of valuation.
The Mottet Cultural Survey project located in the Umatilla National Forest is divided into 23 survey blocks. In total, 2,943 acres will be surveyed. Each of these blocks will be surveyed using the Umatilla National Forest Survey Protocol (2020 UMF Contract Specifications, Fulgham 1989; attached) which includes survey transects no greater than 15 meters apart. The Umatilla National Forest is requiring upgrades to the existing Umatilla Portable 1 and Tupper Remote Automated Weather Station. System uupgrade consists of leaving existing frame, Solar Panel, and Transmitter in place on the current weather stations.
The purpose of this solicitation is to secure a complete set of mechanical and hand thinning treatment services to accomplish fuels reduction or forest health improvement work to be performed within the boundaries of the Wallowa Whitman and Umatilla National Forests.
