In 2004, the University purchased the 22-acre University Plaza space located on the southern border of campus for the purpose of redevelopment and community revitalization. The further redevelopment of this space is intended to increase the quality of campus life, attract businesses and residents, and spur economic growth in a strategically important area of Little Rock.
