The work is located at Lower Monumental Dams located in Washington. This will be a firm-fixed-price supply with construction installation contract. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required for construction.
Provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials and incidentals to supply and install two 350 HP, 4160V, 3 phase unwatering pumps and two 250 HP, 480V, 3 phase drainage pumps at Little Goose Dam. Work will include replacing valves and discharge piping in addition to furnishing and installing 480V motor control centers (MCC) including new cabling, conduit, switchgear, and variable frequency drives as specified in the plans and specifications.

Added:Mar 07, 2019 1:55 pm The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for Refurbishing Unwatering Pump Motors for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ice Harbor Dam, Burbank, WA.The proposed acquisition is set aside for small business concerns.
Diving in the tailrace will be required to temporarily plug the unwatering pump discharge piping while isolation valves are replaced. The three unwatering pumps will be converted from 4160V to 480V with the installation of new transformers and motor control centers. Work within the unwatering and drainage sump will require the setup of temporary pumping to install new pump intakes and seismic bracing.
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6 to purchase two 200HP Unwatering Pump Motors for McNary Lock and Dam, utilizing commercial practices.The proposed acquisition is a total small business set-aside. Offers from other than small business concerns will not be considered.
It’s anticipated that this method would need to provide 1,100 GPM for 120 minutes.Install an extra pump in the unwatering section of the Lookout Dam.Add a fire pump and piping that draws from the sump. Keep the existing pumps off.Tap off the existing pump but change the operating controls.Replace one of the existing unwatering pumps if a new pump would help with sizing, controls, or other required features for this system.
