This requirement is to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace the existing concrete boat landings at the Weaver Bottoms and Indian Slough complexes within the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.

This project is located within in the Spring Lake Management Unit of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, Savanna, Illinois. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supervision required to provide gravel to locations defined in the SCOPE OF WORK.

Fish and Wildlife Service, Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, Missouri

This property is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) but is located within the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. Treatment area maps are attached. Transportation of supplies, equipment and contractor personnel shall be via workboat and/or barge from a suitable nearby landing. The contractor shall be responsible for arranging their own transportation and river access.

Four of these areas (Pool 5 Dredging, WKTY, Goose Island and Capoli Islands) are within the Upper Mississippi River National Fish and Wildlife Refuge and are co-managed with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). In the Statement of Work (SOW), undesirable vegetation is defined as any vegetation that competes with regenerating forest trees for growing space, water and nutrients. (See attached Statement of Work.)
