In order to accomplish this action and meet CERCLA requirements we have an alternate location for the Bases small boats to berth during periods of dredging. This sediment removal and reconstruction of the pier will take 2-3 years to complete, starting at the beginning of 2024 and going through 2026. In order to continue meeting the Coast Guard’s search and rescue missions, Station Seattle needs to be moved out of the Coast Guard’s slip.
